Ballpoint Pen

The first commercial ballpoint pen we all know and love was designed by the Lazlo Biro in 1945. This ballpoint design was better than previous "fountain" pens for a number of reasons. Using the ballpoint pen was much less time consuming because of not having to refill the ink as often, leeks were less frequent and the ink used was less prone to smudging. This design perfected handwriting and has hardly changed since its invention, So simple, yet so effective.
